Why should I attend?

The theme of this year’s Annual Meeting is  “Innovating Nuclear Power”. More than 800 participants are expected to attend, representing every field of nuclear science and technology from across the United States and many countries throughout the world.

In addition to an impressive list of government and industry leaders who will address the theme of the meeting, we are also planning several outstanding special events and activities that will appeal to all participants. From education to networking, you’ll be informed and in-touch with the brightest minds in the profession. The ANS Annual Meeting provides the insight that you have been looking for!

What are the registration dates?

Registration is now open! Be sure to take advantage of reduced pricing prior to May rate change.   Early registration closes on June 9, after which time you will need to register on site.  Note there will be an increased fee for ONSITE processing.

What does my registration fee include?

Full meeting registration includes President’s Reception, meeting publication and any scheduled meals. One day passes include the meeting publication and scheduled meals for that day. Additional tickets for the reception or special events can be purchased in advance or onsite at the registration desk. View fees here.

I am not an ANS Member, how do I become one?

If you are interested in taking advantage of the member rate, join ANS as a National Member at https://secure.ans.org/join/. Once you complete the member application, you can immediately register at the lower member fee. You must be an ANS National Member before you can register at the member rate. Questions regarding member benefits can be directed to members@ans.org or call Membership at 800-323-3044.

Can I register onsite?

Yes, after June 9th you will need to register onsite. Registration hours are listed on the here.

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?

Yes, once payment has been processed, you will receive an email with a confirmation of your purchase for the 2017 ANS Annual Meeting.

What is your cancellation policy?

Registration cancellations must be made in writing prior to May 12, 2017, in order to receive a refund minus $150.00 processing fee. Meeting registrations, special event and tour tickets cancelled after May 12, 2017 will not be refunded, but you are able to send a substitute.

What if I can’t make it, but I can find a substitute?

Please contact registrar@ans.org, with the reason you are unable to attend, along with your substitute’s contact information including email, job title and work address.

I am bringing my family with me, are there activities for them to do?

Yes! San Francisco is one of the friendliest cities in the nation. More information is listed on the City tab, or visit http://www.sfcityguides.org.

What is the dress code?

Business or Business Casual. And while we are in San Francisco, meeting rooms tend to run a bit on the cool side, so make sure to bring a jacket or sweater.

Are there any sponsorship opportunities?

Yes! We have some great opportunities this year. If there is something specific you had in mind, but don’t see listed, please reach out to meetings@ans.org.

Who can attend the President’s Reception?

The President’s Reception is a ticketed event. As long as you have purchased a full meeting registration, a ticket is included. You can purchase additional tickets in advance or onsite for a fee.

Does ANS have a room block for attendees?

Yes, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco for $259 plus 16.5% tax per room, per night. All meeting activities, technical sessions and plenary sessions will be held at the hotel (unless otherwise noted). ANS has also secured a limited number of guest rooms at the government per diem.  Reservations must be made by Friday, May 12, 2017, or before the group rooms are sold out, so do not delay. Prevailing hotel rates may apply after this date or when the group rooms are sold out, whichever occurs first.

I’m a Speaker, do I need to register?

Yes. All speakers must register for either a (1) day or for the full meeting. If you wish to attend additional activities or have a guest, you will need to register for those as well so that meeting credentials can be prepared for you.

Onsite at the conference: All speakers and session chairs must check in at the ANS Registration Desk.

I’m a Speaker, and I need a Visa, who should I contact?
